Young Claude: the danger in the Confined
The Badsworth & Bramham Moor meeting to be held at Howe Hills, Mordon, this Saturday have received 155 entries and with 65 entered in the Maiden, this has been divided.
Starting at 1pm the opening race, the Confined, looks very competitive and dual winner Well Presented, who was just touched off at the Derwent meeting, will be going for his hat trick. Young Claude, who won at the Holderness, is a danger and will be in there at the finish.
The Restricted has an entry of 20 which includes course winner Dix Huit Cyborg. Oliver Greenall will has the choice between Bow School and The Fairhill Boy, whilst Buy Onling, who ran a race full of promise when chasing home Network Oscar at the Holderness, can go one better.
The Volkswagen Touareg Men's Open has 14 entries with locally trained, course specialist, Sir Alf likely to start favourite, whilst Noggler may make his seasonal debut. However the biggest danger could be Scottish raider Novel Idea who won at the course last year.
The Ladies Open has 16 entered and can go to the Jacqueline Coward ridden Narciso who has finished second to useful performers in Ladies' Opens, with Oakland's Luis and Interdit filling the places.
The Intermediate could cut up badly with half the field running the previous weekend. Chorizo who has won both his races with plenty of ease will have plenty of supporters, but Browns Beck who has won on the course ran a big race last time out when third to Sonevafushi and Imps Way at Charm Park and faces nothing of that calibre here.
The first Maiden looks between Lord Gee and Out to Lunch, whilst the second division can go to the consistent The Artful Fox.
