The Bilsdale Hunt Point-to-Point takes place on Saturday 8th May and 121 Entries have been received for the seven race card. The first race, with three Entries, is the Hunt race and this starts at 2.00pm.
The second race is the Open Maiden race which has received 20 Entries. Brochure ran very well last time out, however Lewesdon Tom ran put in a good performance at the last meeting and could improve on his previous third place.
The third race is the Dodson & Horrell Point-to-Point Owners & Riders Association Club Members race for Novice Riders. Charlotte Cundall has the choice of two horses in her attempt to win the Yorkshire Novice Lady Riders race and either would go well.
The fourth race is the Mixed Open race and this race has the biggest field and some very good Entries. Fox Point ran an excellent race in defeat to My Old Piano at Bedale and Knoxhill Archie loves this course and won here last time.
Several of the Mixed Open horses also hold an Entry in the Confined race and this could go the way of Brown's Beck who also loves Easingwold and ran well here at the last meeting. He is a top of the ground horse so not often seen early in the season but will no doubt notch up a win before the end of the term.
There are 10 Entries for the Restricted race and the last race, the Open Maiden, is unlikely to be split as it has 20 entries.
The postcode for satellite navigation is YO61 3PS. There is a good view of the majority of the course but a couple of fences are hidden from view of the main crowd, however the commentator has a hoist which affords him a better view and keeps the racegoers up to date.
The course for the previous meeting was in excellent condition and hopefully another great day's racing is in store. Admission is £10 per head and children are admitted free.
