Flashy Boy: amongst the entries for the Men's Open

The Cheshire Hunt have attracted 120 entries, for their fixture between the flags at Alpraham, Nr Tarporley, this Sunday March 30th.

Racing comes under starter's orders at 2.00pm and is set to conclude at 5.40pm with the Open Maiden race over two and a half miles.

Admission to this popular Cheshire course is £35 reserved, £30 premier, and only £20 per car for the normal car park, regardless of the number of passengers. There is also a reduction of £5 for single occupancy.

One of the feature races on the card is the Men's Open, for the Tarporley Hunt Cup. Amongst the 17 entries are Flashy Boy, a winner at Weston Park this season, and  No Retreat, an Open winner in 2007 who will relish this testing course. Others to note include Paddy For Paddy and Darnil - a good race is in prospect.

There will also be a parade of the Cheshire hounds between the second and third races. This event is very popular with the younger generation, who love to go into the parade ring and mingle with the hounds.
