Saturday's Tweseldown fixture (February 20th) has attracted enties from far afield as owners and trainers seek opportunities to catch up on a racing programme that was so badly disrupted earlier in the year. The Chiddingfold, Leconfield & Cowdray have moved their meeting from Parham in the hope of favourable conditions, and the forecast augurs well for a great day's racing.

Nick Pearce will be running Lord Snow in the Intermediate for Simon Tindall and the same owner will be hoping for a better showing from Silver Don, who was pulled up at Detling, in the Maiden. Philip Hall is in for a quiet day with just the one ride, Man From Moscow, for Peter and Alison Hickman in the Intermediate.

Rose Grissell has prepared Beluga for owner-rider Felix Wheeler, who will be taking on Merry Vic and Honourable Spider in the Mens Open. This will be Beluga's first run back from a two-year layoff, his principal target being Sandown's Grand Military Gold Cup, while Peter Bull's mount Honourable Spider is rerouted from the abandoned Folkestone Hunter Chase earlier this week.

Peter Bull also runs Hitsfromtheblitz in the Maiden and Supa Tramp in the Restricted, while Marcus Gorman will follow his round on Merry Vic with a crack at the Maiden on Dr Sparrow, the horse that he so nearly won on at Charing last year despite carrying a stone overweight.

Saturday's fixture includes a qualifier for the Connolly's Red Mills Intermediate series to be decided at Cheltenham on 5th May. First of six races is at 12 noon and competitive racing is anticipated on ground currently on the soft side of good.

Cars, including the driver, are charged at £15. Additional adults at £10 each and under 16's are free. For each paying couple of racegoers there will be a complimentary racecard.

Catering facilities will include a Shepherd Neame beer tent and there will be numerous trade stands and children's entertainments.
