A father and daughter could both find themselves in the winners enclosure at the Curre & Llangibby Hunt Point-to-Point at Howick Farm near Chepstow racecourse on Sunday.

David Davies has entered his eight-year-old West Bay in the Confined race and his daughter Rae Jones has her 10-year-old Up There down to run in the Mens Open race.

West Bay recently caused something of a surpise when wnning at odds of 20-1 at Black Forest Lodge, while Up There has won two of his three races this season and fnished a good second in the other - the Lord Ashton of Hyde's Cup at the Heythrop.

The French-bred Pelennor may prove the biggest threat to West Bay while Balearic Star could prove the main danger to Up There.

There are 16 down to run in the Ladies Open race and these include Chesnut Annie and Lady Myfanwy, who between them have won more than 40 races. However, the Abbi Vaughan-trained Picaroon, a recent winner, could take all the beating.

Racing gets under way at 12.00noon with the Members race and last year's winner Galtee View, who went on to win the Welsh Point-To-Point Grand National at Bonvilston, looks sure to start favourite.

Admission charge is £5 per car and £5 per adult.
