The Derwent Hunt will be holding their Point-to-Point at Charm Park, near Scarborough on Sunday 7th March. 156 entries have been received for the six race card, with the last race, the Open Maiden race holding 58 entries and is very likely to be divided on the day.
The first race is due off at 12.30 pm and the postcode for satellite navigation is YO13 9QU. Admission is £10 per head in the car park on the West side of the course and £8 per head at the East side of the course. Children are free and racecards are £3.00 each.
The Hunt race is a combined affair between the Derwent and Staintondale Hunts, who will be hosting their Point-to-Point at Charm Park on Easter Monday. Although, it has the smallest amount of entries, it is a competitive looking race and should get the day off to a good start.
The second race is the Confined Hunts race and a large number of the entries have been running very well in this sphere, including Brize Norton, Turbo, Nippy Des Mottes and Pen Gwen. Oaklands Bobby won his Restricted race in good style at Witton Castle and will be competitive as he steps up a grade.
Both Open races could be hotly contested and after her first run of the season, Eliza Doalott is sure to run well in the Ladies section, which would be her first attempt in Ladies Open as opposed to Mens Open.
The fifth race is the Restricted and Fli Mi Son, who lost his maiden tag at this meeting last year, is sure to run well again.
