by Laura Ellis

The second meeting at Dingley has attracted a huge number of entries and a good day of racing should ensue. Racing opens at 2pm with the Midlands Area Club Members which has attracted a high quality 25 entries.

Keen supporter of Dingley Patrick Hutchinson has Mendo and Pass The Class entered; both enjoying a consistent season, they should go close. The Luder would hope to follow up on his win at Garthorpe, similarly Thatmakestwoofus could improve on his second at Kingston Blount last time out.

The Confined should see a small but competitive field go to post. Kandelin will be campaigning to make it a hat-trick for this season. Hoping to bounce back to his early season form Gleeson deserves a mention, as does local campaigner Van Ness.

The feature race of the day is the 4m Mixed Open which has attracted an exciting 29 entries. Amongst these is the consistent and talented Limerick Leader, and The Camerengo, who will enjoy the trip and hope to go one better than his last run in the four miler at Marks Tey when finishing second. Similarly, if taking to the extended trip Horsham Lad could make it a hat-trick for the season. Also worthy of a mention are the consistent Walter's Laddie and The King Of Angels.

Another competitive field should go to post in the Restricted from the 20 entered, the pick of which would be Action Steel, Doctor Kingsley and Sky Hole. Finishing second here last time out, Action Steel would hope to go one better this time, as could Doctor Kingsley who finished a commendable second to the highly thought of Penmore Mill last time out.

Dingley is located on the A427, one mile east of Market Harborough. Entry is £15 per car, including the driver, £5 all additional passengers, under 12s free.
