The Four Burrow Foxhounds' six race card at Trebudannon comes under starters' orders at 2pm with an Open Maiden Race for four, five, six and seven-year-olds run over 2m4f.
The 20 entries include Rita Heard's homebred Blazing Bouncer who finished second on his debut at Great Trethew before falling at Upcott Cross when going well. If he's none the worse for the ordeal he should come into it.
Wind And Waves, trained by Mike Trickey, is another who finished second on his debut at Great Trethew and could also go well.
The PPORA Club Members Race is for horses aged ten years and over and Preacher Boy will be a warm order to add to his three wins this season while the grand veteran Strong Weld, still going strong at 14 years old, could also add to his tally in a season which has seen him notch up three wins and a second.
The young horse Mares Maiden, run over 2m4f, has attracted 17 runners including Regime Change who has had three outings this season and ran with promise on each occasion.
The Mixed Open looks a good race with plenty of winners set to line up. Johnny's Way caused an upset at the course in April when beating long odds-on favourite Southwestern by a length and Here's Johnny showed plenty of determination when holding on for a half length success at Upcott Cross.
The Open Maiden Race has a wide open look for it but Paddys Mat could come in for some support on the back of his second at the course last month where he was beaten two and half lengths by the favourite Tamatown. Blue Abbey, another entry, wasn't beaten by far when he finished third at Upcott Cross, behind an Apple A Night.
Henrythealligator has finished in the frame on each of his three starts this season and looks an improving type too.
In the Restricted Acting Tougher, a winner at Buckfastleigh earlier in the season, will be a popular winner if she gets her nose in front for owner/trainer Ross Oliver.
The course has excellent viewing and as well as the racing, attractions include tradestands, catering, a licensed bar and on-course bookies. It is situated at St Columb Major signed off the A30 and A39, postcode TR9 4LP.
