Tweseldown and Hackwood Park racecourses are joining forces to provide generous prizes to the leading trainers during the six meeting season.
A joint scheme by the two Hampshire courses to encourage an increase in the number of runners and to avoid walkovers will be decided on a points basis. With £1000 of prize money on offer, the Championship begins at Tweseldown on Saturday 20th February.
Points are awarded as follows: 6 for a win, 5 for a second, 4 for a third and 3 for simply having a runner at one of the qualifying meetings.
£750 will be awarded to the winning trainer, with £250 to the runner-up. If there is a tie, the £1000 prize will be split equally between the winners.
