22 February 2010 Injury News

by Carolyn Tanner

Harry Burt, 23, made a less than happy debut in the Hunt race at the Brocklesby on Saturday. Harry pulled a ligament off his shoulder blade in a fall from Fartooclose (who had capsized in three of his four outings in Irish Points), and is due to have an operation on Tuesday to hook the ligament back in place.

"I think it's the boots' fault," commented Harry, who had purchased the footwear from Mark Bennison. Mark had suffered an almost identical injury at the corresponding fixture a year ago.

Nathan Moscrop, who suffered an horrific-looking fall from Briscoe Place at Musselburgh earlier in the month, was knocked out in the process, and is due to take a concussion test on Tuesday. Briscoe Place was unscathed, and may next be given a confidence-boosting run between the flags at Dalston.
