CHARLOTTE TIZZARD: Rides 100th winner at Black Forest Lodge
photo: Nick Jay
Just five races into the season, Charlotte Tizzard notched up her 100th career success on Front Page in the Black Forest Club's Restricted Division 1.
25 of those victories have come under Rules, while the first between the flags was on Millyhenry at Barbury in 2000. Front Page was the second leg of a double for trainer Monique Pike, who saddled See You Jack to take the first division of the 2m4f Maiden under Sam Allwood.
It was a red-letter day for Emma Pugsley, who was successful on her debut ride, on Fully Loaded in the Novice Riders' contest. Fully Loaded, who coincidentally was purchased from Charlotte Tizzard's father Alan, is owned by Emma's parents, Andrew and Linda, and is trained by her grandfather, successful permit-holder Gerald Greenway.
Dulverton-based Emma, 20, is studying Business and Tourism at the University of Plymouth, prior to which she worked for Jeremy and Camilla Scott. She will share the rides on both Fully Loaded and Gerald's El Hombre del Rio with her younger sister Lucy.
