07 April 2010 Preview: Ludlow - Bitterley
by Stella Havard
The Ludlow Hunt Point-to-Point scheduled for this Sunday (11th) has attracted 182 Entries and there will be a minimum of eight races at the popular course.
The 2m4f Maiden has already been split into two divisions and there is a possibility that other races may be divided on the day.
The inaugural Welsh Border Area Ladies Championship has a small but very select entry; there is no doubt that the tussle for the revived Corvedale Cup will be a spirited one. The entries include Test of Friendship for Belinda Clarke, the sponsor, who has a successful Point-to-Point yard at Middleton Priors, near Bridgenorth.
The first race, the very competitive Hunt Members, will be off at 1.30pm.
Entrance to the course is £10 per person, with children under 16 and car parking free. The venue (SY8 3HF) can be found just off the A4117, four miles north-east of Ludlow.
