NETWORK OSCAR: produces a mighty leap on his way to landing the Grimthorpe
The Middleton Point-to-Point was blessed with sunshine on Sunday along with a huge crowd.
The highlight of the day saw three of the Greenall brothers all riding winners, with Tom Greenall having a treble and David Easterby training five winners.
Tom Greenall took the Members race with My Old Piano who never came off the bridle and sauntered home to win easily, beating Nawaadi in second and West Coaster third.
Tom's second winner came in the Grimthorpe Gold Cup, which was poorly supported. Network Oscar cruised past long time leader Snizort and went on to win effortlessly, Snizort was twenty lengths back in second with Southern Classic third.
In the Intermediate Dannymalone looked to have won the race but the fast finishing Impact Zone and Tom Greenall came fast and late to beat him close home, Abandon Ship took third.
Totally Beat and Jake Greenall impressed in the younger Maiden as they cruised up to the leaders and swept passed them in the straight to beat brother Tom and Tabloid in second, with favourite Lucky For Laura only managing third.
Toby Greenall completed the family five timer when winning the Restricted on Quinta De Lobo who held off the fast finishing Fli My Son and Mark Walford, with the eye catcher Champagne Only in third.
Miles Seston along with Ballybrakes, who overcame a long absence, won the Club race after making all the running, Seston and his mount were challenged two out but he had kept plenty in hand to stay on strongly and beat Baron Romeo in second with Benwell in third.
Seston completed his double when teaming up with Cherry Coward on Hailes Hill Lad, Miles was seen at his best as he drove out his mount to defeat the fast finishing Wantage Road by a head, the favourite Impact Zone had to settle for third.
The Easter weekend sees two meetings taking place in Yorkshire, the Bedale at Hornby Castle on Saturday and the Staitondale at Champ Park near Wykeham on bank holiday Monday.
