24 November 2011 Point-to-Point Race Planner: Important Notice

The Point-to-Point Racing Company will be publishing an updated version of the Planner this year, to include all Hunter Chase fixtures and amendments to Point-to-Point fixtures since the original book was published. All purchasers will be sent a copy of this updated version free of charge.
We would also like to draw readers' attention to a computer error in the original book which has meant that some dates affecting penalties and race conditions are incorrect. The updated Planner has the correct information but two early season fixtures are affected, specifically two races at the Hursley Hambledon Hunt at Tweseldown on Sunday 11th December and one race at the Harkaway Club at Chaddesley Corbett on Tuesday 27th December.
In light of this error and the timescale involved the Hursley Hambledon meeting have decided to leave the penalties for their affected Hunt Members race as published in the first version of the Planner, as follows:
Page 107: The Hursley Hambledon HUNT MEMBERS, SUBSCRIBERS & FARMERS Race:
PENALTIES: A winner on or since 27th November 2009 of a Steeplechase or hurdle race under the Rules of any recognised Racing Authority (Point-to-Points excepted) to carry 7lb extra, of a Mens, Ladies or Mixed Open Point-to-Point in this period 5lb extra, and of any other Point-to-Point race 3lb extra. Penalties are not cumulative

The correct conditions for the other affected race at the Hursley Hambledon are as follows (amendment in bold):
Page 107: The nine-year-olds and over Thames Valley CLUB MEMBERS Conditions Race:
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: For horses aged nine years or over only, owned and ridden by current Members or Associate Members of the TVC, which on or since 26th November 2010 have not won any race under the Rules of any recognised Racing Authority (Point-to-Points included).

Page 110: The Harkaway CLUB MEMBERS Conditions Race should read:
PENALTIES: A winner on or since 27th November 2010 of a Point-to-Point race (Maiden races excepted) to carry 7lbs extra. Penalties are not cumulative.
