11 February 2010 Self Certificate - Important Notice

Owners and Trainers are advised of an important directive from the BHA regarding the regulations surrounding Self-Certificates.
The BHA has advised us to highlight the regulation, which is as follows:
Under Rule (F) 97.3 of the Rules of Racing, should a horse be withdrawn under Rules as a non-runner by self certification, that horse will be suspended by the BHA from running in future races in Great Britain for a period of 6 days starting with the day following the day of the race for which the horse was self-certified.
Under Point-to-Point Regulation 152 (xii), a horse is not qualified to start for any race if it has been suspended by the British Horseracing Authority under the Rules of Racing. Therefore this suspension would extend to running in Point-to-Points.
