Freddie's Return, who won a Mens Open on his Point-to-Point debut at Charing last month, is aimed at a double at Godstone races this Sunday (February 20th).
He and Rider / Trainer Philip York beat Letterman at Charing with a magnificent leap at the final fence and the pairing face the same rival again.
This first of three meetings at Godstone this season has attracted a very healthy Entry and racing conditions are expected to be ideal.
Philip Hall, leading Rider at the track for some years, has a choice of entries for Adept Approach from his own yard and will ride Glenbower Woods, returning from a year off, plus Accordingtoval for the Grissell sisters.
Marcus Gorman introduces Forgotten Symphony, winner of an Irish Point-to-point, in the Restricted, while another newcomer to note is Caroline Dennis's Hot Chipotle in the mares Maiden.
Nick Pearce has entered four for patron Simon Tindall; Louisthenineteenth is engaged in the Hunt race, Our Poppy Day in the mares Maiden, Florence Mary in the Restricted and Letterman in the open. The opening Hunt Members race will also see Magnus Veritas, ridden by Stuart Robinson.
Godstone racecourse is on the A25 near Oxted, two miles from junction 6 on the M25. The code for sat navs is RH9 8DB. Admission is £10 per person, children under 16 free and car parking free.
The main programme is preceded by pony racing which starts at 11.15am, with the first of seven horse races starting at 1.00pm.
Following racing there is a scurry which has attracted some old favourites including Cape Stormer and Millenium Way.
