Tweseldown racecourse, Hampshire, is the setting for the Staff College & R.M.A. Sandhurst Point-to-Point on Sunday.
A rematch in the Mens Open race between impressive recent winner Whereareyounow and Irilut, whom he beat here last month, should be the highlight of the day.
The former made all the running to beat frequent course winner Irilut in December, but the latter has run again since and will strip out fitter this time.
Alresford trainer Victoria Collins, who saddles Whereareyounow, also runs Victor Victorious in the Maiden race. "He will be Rilly Goschen's first ride of the season," said Victoria, "she is on a career total of 99 Point-to-Point winners and I'm determined to provide her with the one hundredth!"
Shady Hollow, winner at Dunthrop of one of the best Maiden races so far this season, is entered for the Restricted, and the horse that he beat, Millview, will oppose Victor Victorious in the Maiden with Richard Bandey in the saddle.
More than 100 entries have been made for the six races, beginning at noon. The going should be perfect with fresh ground opened on the bends following the meeting early in December.
