Tom David, who has been riding as a conditional since last year, is reverting to amateur status in time for Cheltenham, where he will be riding for his boss, Tim Vaughan.
Tom rode eight winners in the paid ranks, prior to which he had recorded 17 successes between the flags. He has not ruled out the prospect of returning to the professional circuit in the future, but in the meantime he will continue to be based at the Vaughan yard alongside his brother Evan.
