21 April 2008 United Pack - Brampton Bryan

Worship The Stars: set to take on Strong Weld in the battle for the Men's Open

The United Pack Point-to-Point this Saturday (26th) at Brampton Bryan boasts an eight race card with 197 entries.

This will be the only fixture of 2008 at the beautiful riverside course, the oldest in the Welsh Border area, as the Teme Valley did not re-schedule their event when it was lost due to flooding.

One of the feature races of the day, the Men's Open race has attracted some top class performers, including the impressive Strong Weld, who annihilated the opposition recently at Bitterely. Worship The Stars, who currently leads the area table also holds an entry and a spirited battle may be on the cards.

The first race, the combined Teme Valley and United Pack Hunt Members race, will be off at 1.30pm, and the fixture is sure to be an entertaining afternoon out in the breathtaking Shropshire countryside.

Brampton Bryan (SY7 0JT) can be found between Leintwardine and Knighton on the A4113, 9 miles west of Ludlow.
