11 June 2009 Nelson sails to victory in the Welsh Borders

The ultra-consistent Hoh Nelson has been crowned Champion Horse for the Welsh Borders Area.
The Ann Price owned and trained gelding enjoyed a fine season and failed to finish out of the first three in nine starts, performances that were enough to win him the award ahead of the 2008 victor Worship The Stars.
Elsewhere in the Area, Rob Hodges and Lorna Brooke were crowned leading Gentleman and Lady Rider respecively, while Steve Flook retained the Leading Owner Trophy. Full details of the Area Awards as follows:
