Welsh Point-to-Point enthusiasts will be flocking to Ystradowen, near Cowbridge, on Saturday for the Ystrad Taf Fechan Hunt Steeplechases.
The main event of the day is the John Lovell Mens Open which is the South Wales Area's Feature Race.
Cardiff bookmaker John Lovell's claim to fame was in bringing computerised betting to the UK. He loved Point-to-Point racing more than horse racing run under the full rules of the sport claiming that it had lost its buzz and that all the racing characters he had known had disappeared from the racing scene.
There are 14 entries for the race and the two which could fight out the finish are former National Hunt performer Little Shilling, and Sir Monty who finished first and second in the Mixed Open over the course a few weeks ago.
In the Ladies Open Race, the prolific Lady Myfanwy should prove too speedy for High Five.
Course winner The Duckster, who had two-and-a-half lengths to spare over Lady Trig last time, could meet again in the Restricted while in the Intermediate Brecon winner Saint Peray has Merthyrmawr to beat.
In the young horse Maiden race, Spring Haze and Dunshane look best and in the aged Maiden Nodanawink, who finished a long way behind Ace High Blue at Howick last weekend, might find it hard to keep up with Nosler.
Findlays Find and Fordinkum look best in the Members race for which there are eight entries. First race 2pm.
